We are Columban Missionaries responding to the call of God’s mission, with joy and gratitude; we journey in communion with one another, with the poor and the exploited earth and participate in building bridges of dialogue between peoples of diverse cultures and faith in cross-cultural mission.

As of May 2015, there are 47 la y missionaries (LMs) consisting of women and men, single, married and families coming from Chile, Fiji, Tonga, Ireland, Korea, Peru, Philippines and US. With joy, we witness to a new way of being Church by finding and celebrating God’s loving presence as we seek to live a simple way of life and journey with the poor and marginalized in 12 countries: Britain, Chile, China, Fiji, Ireland, Korea, Myanmar ,Peru, Philippines, Taiwan and US.


LMs, in partnership with one another, with the ordained Columbans, and with local communities where we serve, are involved in different ministries:

Ministry with parish communities, indigenous communities, asylum seekers, migrants, immigrants, refugees (and their children), victims of trafficking, victims of abuse , elderly, sick, destitute people, children, youth, developmentally-challenged individuals, deaf community, people living with HIV and AIDS, prison ministry, livelihood projects for women, community-based rehabilitation, Basic E cclesial Communities, catechism classes, Interfaith Dialogue, JPIC (Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation)
